What do emoji reactions mean? How do I use them?
Emoji reactions are a key way in which you can interact with Greptile’s code review bot inside GitHub or GitLab.
Emoji Status Codes
Greptile might leave emoji reactions to indicate the status of the code review.
| Emoji | Effect |
|---|---|
| 👍 | The code review is done! |
| 👀 | The PR/MR has been seen by Greptile and code review is in progress. |
| 😕 | The code review failed to run. If this happens, reach out to us via the chat window on the dashboard or via email at support@greptile.com |
Emoji Reactions
You can respond with a thumbs up or thumbs down emoji to indicate whether you agree with the comment or not. Greptile will use your feedback to improve future comments.

| 👍 | This is a good comment, make more comments like this! |
| 👎 | This is a bad comment, don’t make more comments like this! |
If you respond with a thumbs down, it is helpful to also reply to Greptile telling it why it’s wrong. This also helps Greptile gain more context and improves future comments.
